About Swindon Town vs. Bristol City
Swindon's first meeting with Bristol City came as long as go as 1897, when the Town joined the Western League - the match ending in a 3-3 draw, with Welsh international Grenville Morris scoring twice for the Town. That same season, City joined the Souther
On the last day of the 1986/87 season, Swindon travelled to Ashton Gate for a top-of-the-table encounter - with the Town already assured of 3rd place and a place in the play-offs, City sat in the last play-off spot, one point ahead of sixth place Notts Co
