Joined Swindon on loan from the Liverpool reserve set-up in November 1997, in a bid to gain some vital first team football and to cover Swindon‘s injured goalkeepers. Warner kept a clean sheet on his debut in a 1-0 home win against Bradford City, but made just one more appearance, in a 4-2 defeat at Stockport.
