A product of QPR’s youth academy, centre-back Sendles-White was signed by Town in February 2016 on a contract to the end of the season, and was thrown straight into the first team, partnering Nathan Thompson and Jordan Turnbull in a three man defence against Blackpool. He proved a solid addition to Town’s defensive options and made ten appearances before the end of the season, earning himself a new contract to extend his Town stay.
Sendles-White began the new season as part of Town’s first choice defensive trio before suffering a horrendous cruciate ligament injury against Bury in September. He would not play for Town again, the injury requiring three operations and almost a whole year before he played another game of football - for Leyton Orient in the National League, having been released by Swindon at the end of his contract.
Sendles-White retained the support of a group of Town fans on social media who would have liked to see his return to Town. It briefly looked like they might get their way as Phil Brown invited him back for a trial in the summer of 2018, but no contract was offered.
