A graduate of Watford’s youth academy, Republic of Ireland U21 international midfielder Murray ended a 14 year association with the Hornets when he signed for the 2016/17 season at the Town.
Murray made seventeen starts across all competitions and scored one goal, equalising in an eventual 3-1 defeat against Northampton at home in September, but seemed to fall out of favour under Director of Football Tim Sherwood, and was released to join Colchester United at the end of the January transfer window, having spent exactly five months at Swindon.
