An attacking left-back signed on loan from Sheffield United for the whole of the 2017/18 season, Hussey played regularly until suffering a groin injury in the 2-0 win at Forest Green Rovers in September which kept him out until March. He scored his only Town goal at Luton in a 3-0 win, a curling effort with the outside of his foot from the edge of the box.

Hussey’s spell at Town was brought to an early end when he received a five game ban and a £4000 fine from the FA for an altercation with a Town fan after a defeat at Newport. He was released by Sheffield United at the end of the season and later joined Cheltenham, where he went on to play over 100 games.
