A loanee winger signed in January 2024, Elbozuedi had an interesting background: an Irishman with a Libyan father and Irish mother, he’d played in Ireland, Scotland and England before moving to AIK in Sweden where he’d spent a couple of years before joining Town on a temporary basis.

He didn’t have an enormous impact in SN1: despite featuring 17 times, it’s hard to provide many highlights, and he only completed the ninety minutes on three occasions. He was increasingly played out of position as a right wing back later in his spell in a Town side that rarely used traditional wingers. After the end of his loan, he was not linked to a return to SN1 despite being available for a move, and ended up joining St. Patrick’s Athletic in Ireland.
