An Ivorian youth international who signed for the club in July 2015, with the unenviable task of trying to fill the boots of Town’s departing midfielders Massimo Luongo and Ben Gladwin, on a free transfer having played for Notts County the previous season.

He was described by manager Mark Cooper as "exactly what we’re about from midfield players. He understands the game, can speed it up, slow it down, and he can win the ball back quickly for us."

He started the season as a regular under Cooper, before losing his place in the side after Cooper’s dismissal in October. In November, Town owner Lee Power confirmed that Traoré had returned to France due to personal issues, but he returned to first team action in December but Traoré really struggled to find consistently good form throughout the season.

Traoré’s Town career will probably be best remembered for an off-the-field incident in April 2016 after footage appeared on social media of him and teammates Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill and Jeremy Balmy inhaling nitrous gas. Traoré begged for ‘forgiveness’ but the out-of-contract Traoré and Balmy would never play for Swindon again.

Upon his release from Swindon, Traoré was reunited with Mark Cooper at Forest Green Rovers, helping the club win promotion to the Football League for the first time in the club's history.
