A youth team player, and son of former Town favourite Tom, Jones was first drafted into the first team by Town boss Kevin MacDonald despite being only a first year scholar during the 2012/13 campaign.
The left back was allowed to join Supermarine on loan towards the end of the following season and just as his scholarship approached its end he was handed a debut by Mark Cooper during the last few minutes of the final game of the season against Rotherham United.
Jones was handed a professional contract but found first team opportunities limited and spent much of his final season out on loan with Wantage Town, Chippenham Town and Farnborough before being released in the summer of 2015.
