A former Arsenal schoolboy, Emmanuel Idem was signed by Town as goalkeeping cover in January 2022, providing cover for Jojo Wollacott and Lewis Ward. He made the bench against Mansfield Town and Port Vale in January and played in the Wiltshire Premier Shield defeat against Westbury before joining Brentwood Town and then Melksham Town on loan for the remainder of the season, before being released without having stepped on the pitch for Swindon.
