One of nine youth team players who signed eighteen month professional contracts in February 2008, Hyde joined Weymouth on a month's loan later in the month, helping them to avoid relegation despite an injury preventing him from extending his temporary contract. After failing to make the Town's squad the following season, and after returning to Weymouth for another loan period as the Terras' entire first team walked out due to financial difficulties, Hyde was released.
