Inside forward signed from Third Division (North) club Nelson in August 1926. Though small (he stood at just 5' 5"), Eddleston hit the net on a regular basis, though his goalscoring exploits were always overshadowed by those of the legendary Harry Morris, who he partnered in the Town attack for six years.
