Brought in as a backup goalkeeper after Lewis Ward departed to Sutton on deadline day in September 2022, Irish goalkeeper Brann had recently been released by League of Ireland First Division side Galway United, meaning a professional contract with a League Two side was something of a surprise. Despite being named on the bench 22 times, he didn’t play a minute of football for Town during his first season, but remained under contract for the 2023/4 season. Perhaps the only notable - and highly unfortunate - moment in the first year of his Town career was picking up a serious injury in the post-match warm down whilst manager Scott Lindsey was being interviewed on Radio Swindon after Town had exited the FA Cup to Mansfield Town.
Much of the early part of Brann's second season in Town was spent on loan at local non-league side Swindon Supermarine, with Murphy Mahoney and Lewis Ward taking up the first team goalkeeping spots. Brann headed to the Webbs Wood stadium in early September and stayed until 2nd February, when he was recalled to cover Jack Bycroft for the remainder of the season. Whilst at Supermarine, Brann impressed and was their player of the month for December. When he returned to Swindon, he did not get a chance to stake his claim for a first team role and, with Redman Evans handed a pro contract, was released at the end of the season without playing a minute for Town’s first team in any competition
